Title: CCS problem
Post by: jer271 on November 25, 2005, 04:07:25 PM
Well as some of you know my motorcycyle blew up @ gingerman the last race of the year and I had
"pre enterd " for Daytona and obviously didnt make it

I guess my gripe is when Ive made several phone calls and 3 emails why doesnt Linda Hipps refund my $$$$, has anybody else had this problem.  I think it is very bogus that Ive left repete messages and still no return from her or anybody else from CCS on the situation,  and quite honestly I make good $$ but to piss $520 away is still a bite in the ass >:(

these people know racers around here are gonna race CCS. MOST racers are not gonna travel around the US when they are not pros and they are just club racing for fun,  so they(CCS) can yank you around because if it where not for them you cant race anywhere so what does one do???

I don't think that Linda works for CCS anymore. I to had hard time getting my refund back. I finally got in touch with the lady that writes the checks and she helped get the refund. Very nice lady but sorry to say I forgot her name. It took about 4mo. to get it. From other post it seems to be normal to have to keep on them to get something done. Be nice but stay on top of them and should showup. Make sure you are emails and calls are going to right places.

Good luck Rodney

All of my dealings with Linda have been excellent.  IMO it's just a lack of overall organization and understaffing / overworking that causes these problems... not to mention moving every week  ;D  I don't think clear channel gives a squat about us, but most of the employees do.  Good luck, I'm sure it will work out in time.

On the CCS mailer for Daytona.  There was cut off date of pre-entry.  I believe that was also the cut off if you wanted to cancel your entry.

http://www.formulausa.com/forms/R.O.C.%20Mailer%202005

page 8 of the mailer above says....

<snip>   Preentries
close September 26,
2005!
All cancellations must be received
in writing to the address below by
September 26, 2005. There are no
refunds or credits from the Race of
Champions. <end snip>

Also Pam is the person you would need to call as she handles the credits and $$.    Good Luck.

If it is posible to get a refund for Daytona let me know.  I missed it due to the hurricane, but the flyer said no refunds.  Post up if you were able to get a refund.
