We are awaiting confirmation from a couple of tracks still, so please be patient a little longer.
Thanks for supporting CCS Racing!
Kevin, would it be possible to put up a tentative schedule that we can at least get an idea from until everything is final. I know you might be concerned about people bitching, but they bitch either way. At least with some up front idea of where we may be going and when the majority of us can start to get a clear idea of how our season is looking. My calendar is already VERY full. :o
Kevin, thanks for all of your help and hard work. We appreciate it!
For a tentative schedule... just look at this year's schedule.. it's similar year to year.
SUMMIT MAIN ONLY PLEASE!
^^ that will pretty much decide is I race CCS or WERA. I am not running the shannandoah
Same here...I want to be safe and have fun...not be in the hospital for the 06 season! :-X
QuoteSUMMIT MAIN ONLY PLEASE!
Thats the 1st thinkg I thought of regarding the 2006 MA schedule....UNLESS they make MAJOR changes and add run off room.
njracer
All Gingerman, all the time 8) ;D
Maybe a little Grattan or Nelson Ledges tossed in too ;)

The track was/is fun. But there are a few spots that bother me when I was on it. Truthfully I don't know if I will race that track in the dry. I blew the sponge bob thing a few times. But I would race in the rain as we did. That was fun. That track was 100 times better wet than main. I still would like a few changes.

Why what happened?... did a lot of people get hurt there?

No, ambulance didn't even leave the track. Left the paddock only once that I remember and I don't believe it was really even needed. I rather race there than the asphalt mx track called Main.
hmmm.... soooo.. no one got hurt and yet no one wants to race on it?
I'm just fuchin around here. Stop being pu$$ies and ride shannandoah. :P
i agree with rick, shenandoah is a better more tactical track than summit with a huge grip..race twice there, dry and wet..no ambulance ever went on it, few crashes, inculding me low sided on the wet, enough run off, the few bad area are been work on. the rest are slow areas , main with turn 3 and 4 are for me more dangerous than shenandoah, same with tunr 4 at vir..more speed no run off at all..
but i m just an amateur..some will say..

i was told by another fellow racer that there is more sealer strips on the main. I think they sealed the concrete patch on T1, that should be fun in the wet.

Kevin,
can you give us somewhat of an idea when you might post the schedule?
Thanks a ton
Chris
2nd week of Dec.
Any possibility of getting it this week?
Thanks
Chris
Anything's possible. :)
If you're desparate, check the various track's Web sites schedules... some of them have 2006 dates posted, like the Barber, and VIR site.
THEY WILL POST IT FIRST WEEK OF MARCH :P
QuoteTHEY WILL POST IT FIRST WEEK OF MARCH :P
Road America in early march, and Barber in August, if past years would be any indication. I won my first trophy in a snowstorm.... :o
Interesting fact: At 140 mph, charging through a snow shower will give you serious motion sickness! Better yet, try looking for your brake marker!

Ahhh go write a book about it. ;D

I thought I was the only one that had experienced that ordeal... Road A in '93. Motion sickness is right, plus the "tink, tink, tink" on the screen is distracting... especially going into gravity cavity.
Even tenative dates would help. Some of us have to bid our vacations now for next year. I have already missed 3 rounds of vacation bidding and my last round of bids comes this week. I'm throwing darts at a calander here. I know look at the track schedules, none of the midwest tracks have anything posted either. A peek at the MW tenetive dates would really help.
Should I consult the Magic 8 Ball? ::)

"Outlook Not so GOOD"
There are tentative dates out there.
Until contracts are signed, you don't know.
Traditionally, this isn't resolved until around January 1 with CCS.
We got ours last year on 12/1.
I though that was early.
Dates being given out this late and later are a real detractor to the series. As evidenced above, people with real jobs need to bid vacation etc. Lets do what we can to have the possibility of the most amount of people be able to attend as many events as possible. We do this by communicating. Give us a tentative schedule and tell us what rounds look more likely than others, but it gives us all an opportunity to take the time if we have it. Or choose CCS events instead of filling our schedule with other org's dates. If most other organizations hadn't already released their dates, noone would be getting my grief here.
I'm tellin you.. if you want tentative, look at last year's schedule. It's very similar from year to year.
I understand what you are saying. But the lack of communication is unacceptable. A tentative schedule from Kevin is still more reliable than "last years schedule". Of course this is what I have used to plan from, but some feedback to confirm that these weekend are the same but we are just waiting on confirmation from the tracks before we can set them as final would be nice.
Also, I believe the Midwest schedule is changing this year since I heard that there may not be any rounds at Autobahn. Last year the schedule changed a lot as well since they removed Topeka and Gateway, so looking at previous schedules is not really a solution.
It really would be nice to have a pretty solid idea of the dates, since I need to schedule my pedicure appointments and I want to make sure none of them conflict!
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again - I'm with Kevin. Releasing a schedule before it's final or as close as you can get it barring changes by the tracks is a bad move. You'll piss off a lot more riders who have scheduled vacation days, hotel room, dogsitters, babysitters, whatever by constantly changing things than you ever will by holding off until you're sure on your schedule. BTDT and still have the scars. Just saying it's tentative isn't enough.
Sean, there will always be stupid people on this earth. If the stupid people can't understand tentative, I won't stay awake at night thinking about it.
Have you all not raced long enough to know the "schedule" by now - geez oh pete give it a rest.
Most of you grip and complain about everything CCE is not and now that someone is working hard to make changes to bring you what you all keep complaining about you still have to keep on with the gripping about this not being done and that being late. Holy Cow!!!! How many of you would like to be Kevin for a day! He is working double overtime to meet your needs the very LEAST you can do is show him and his staff your support. Would you rather request of a week to be at an event only to find it you took the wrong week and can't make the race. Give him and his staff a change and quit whining! >:(
You tell 'em slayer!
I can see both sides of the issue. 1 you do not want to tell people when the tenative dates are because of a justified fear of retirbution over changes. 2 Some of us really need to know now. I have to set my vacation dates now, next week they are set in stone and cannot be changed. I also work 5 of every 7 weekends as we are 7 day a week operation so I cannot attend if I don't schedule vacation days now. I personally would much rather schedule 8 vacation days (they would be individual days on Saturdays and Sundays) based on tenative information and have 3 be wrong than guessing as I am now and maybe have 7 wrong.
I hate to sound like a whiner but....
Some day you will all see the light, IT WILL NOT CHANGE!!!!!! things will be f---ed up from now untill the sun goes down. Ask the few racers that have been doing this for 10-15years. I highly dought Kevin, is the answer to everyones problems. Roadracing is a liability not an asset, that is why CCE is selling it, and no one in there right mind is buying it. I could go on for ever........
WERA is the closest you will get to having it done right. They do it for the love of the sport not to become a millionair.................
QuoteSean, there will always be stupid people on this earth. If the stupid people can't understand tentative, I won't stay awake at night thinking about it.
I agree but you still have to figure out which you need to cater to more. If the sutpid people get pissed they take a lot more time out of your day handling then the normal peopls just frustrated waiting.
