Title: What size generator?
Post by: Fat_Nate on October 07, 2005, 10:30:24 AM
Christmas is coming, and that made me wonder:  what wattage/output rating is sufficient to power tire warmers and a large fan?  2000?  3000?  Thanks,

Nate

I have a Honda 3000.  Runs two sets of warmers and fan no problem.  However, with one set of warmers & A/C in my trailer, one more appliance may kill it.  Usually the microwave takes it out with those other two on.

The appliance that daves girlfriend is using when the breaker shuts down his generator is NOT the microwave!!! (I know...I was there!) ;D

A Honda EU2000 will power 2 sets of Standard Chicken Hawk Tire Warmers & a 20" fan no problem.  It may cost a little more than some of the "Louder" Generators, but in my opinion it's money well spent.  Good Luck!

I had a look at that model, actually.  They sell for about $800 new?  They get great reviews.
