i am looking to buy a cb1 and i was wondering if anybody has one or has had one in the past. I want to no if they are a good starting bike.

good if you want a cruiser in plastic.....

Hey Heath,
               Roger's run the CB1 in most lightweight classes as well as Formula 40 (you have a way to go for that though) It's not competitive againt the SVs, but its a good reliable bike for you to start with. Ed Key used to clean up in LW with his before he got the SV.
Good luck finding one, as they are not that readily available. You will need to add a belly pan, due to their naked nature. However there are some other Honda parts that are interchangable.
You might want to see if you can find a race ready FZR 400. The only draw back is the 18 inch rear tire, but Bridgestone's BT 010s are fine for your riding style, and they work as good intermediates in the wet.

There's a CB1 on AMA Superbike site  for $1,500 w/a fresh motor.
