Post by: PolishPete on September 25, 2005, 05:05:45 PM
What's the rear tire size on a 2002 SV??  What is possible to run, and what is most comftorable....what about the front??  Thanks in advance.

rear is a 160/60R17. Front I'm guessing is a 120/70R17

Stock front is 120/60, but most run the 120/70.  I've run both and like the 70 series front MUCH better.

The trackside race tire vendors will have the correct and most up to date tire for you.  And they should have the technical advice that you might need for changing pressures for tracks, various conditions, etc.

I use Mason Racin' Tires and the Michelin products that he sells.  I find them to be durable and really good traction.

Depending on how tight the track is you are planning on running at, try a 150 rear.

Sidewall profile on this size works great on tight tracks.
