Don't worry about that, he probably was already liquored up before the flight.

Thats not an American Airlines plane there. ;D

Just think if that was a Boeing, the gear probably would had collapsed. :o

But I'm wondering how the gear got turned 90deg in teh first place? Does teh A320 have nose gear that rotates before it retracts? Or was this a nose wheel steering problem?

CNN said it was nose gear problem from take off. That pilot did an outstanding job though. Awesome!

wasnt it ameriwest airlines that had the drunk pilots??  regardless ... great job cap'n!!
