Title: Advice on switching to an SV
Post by: Lowe119 on September 13, 2005, 08:43:56 AM
I am taking my brand new STOCK SV650S to the trackday tomorrow and am kind of nervous about how it is going to act.

I have been racing my R6 with fork work and a Penske shock and I KNOW this SV has a much worse suspension. Plus it seems like I sit a lot higher.

So I'm concerned that I'm going to get frustrated as my bike wallows like a fat pig. Plus I have race tyres mounted and maybe that will make it wallow even more.

I'm signed up for the advanced class (1:23 and under), but am wondering if I should move to the intermediate class. That would be less stress, but a 1:23 would be kind of embarrassing for me.

What do you think about these concerns?
