I raced Wera this year and would like to run the CCS Gingerman round in October. I downloaded the forms today and was wondering if I should send them in or just bring them to the track. If I bring them to the track, will I be able to get my license, register, tech and race?
Is there anything I need different from Wera? I heard we have to mount transponders on the tail section. Anything else?
Thanks
I would just take it to the track...you can do everything there...and be able to race that day. As long as your WERA license is current you're good to go. and Yes the Transponder is tail mount. You can get the holder at registration when you get your license and register,.they'll also issue a transponder for the weekends event. You'll have to return it before you leave.
Cool, Thanks. What tire service companies will be there?

Dunlop
Michelin
Pirelli
If you want Bridgestones, talk to Rob at Lithium Motorsports ahead of time.
What kind of bike? R6 requires side covers, GSXR and R1 left side cover (current models; some older models also are required check rulebook)
Send in the forms now.
Grids are based on date/time of entry
go back to wera, ccs is a waste of time and $$$$$
Heavy Penny, eh?
Is that you Jig? Didn't you ride w/ CCS at G-man last October? Did damned well too as I recall.
Ciao,
H.
Nope, not Jig but the original Heavy Penny!! This is Mike, I went to all the NC races with Jig this year. I ride an 02 R6, usually painted something different every weekend.
Jig should be there corner work'n. He doesn't have a bike anymore.
Yeah, I saw he was sellin' his Vesrah bike. :o
I just guessed he either has a new one or one's on the way.
don't let him in guys....he'll take all your trophies, spoil your women, and burn the little puppies.
hey h-man....give him h*e*double hockey sticks.
see you at gingerman. no, i'm not racing - just trackday on the fz1 on oct 1/2 and then watch you guys through my tear stained eyes on oct 8/9.
Oh yeah baby. I LOVE the FZ1!
I picked mine up in early June and have put 1,500 happy miles on it so far.
If you haven't already, you MUST do the Ivan carb kit.
I'm going back and forth about attending the STT days on 10/1-2.
I too may just be doing the CW thing on the 16th. Being as slow as I am has discouraged me to hang it up until I can wick it up some more.

You won't get any faster going back and forth....

i just got back from the u.p. just a couple hours ago, odometer just clicked over 10k.
i did the ivan carb kit.......and removed the smog crap...and added the metise(sp?) tail lifter (jack back up 1")...and the two brothers exhaust. looks real sweet and with all adjusters cranked to full hard it's not bad on the track. except i absolutely must get some vesrah pads on it....the stock anchors were fading a bit at the track.
was doing real low 1'27's at grattan on it with street tires....should be able to do some 1'26's with race tires.
you better bring yours to the gingerman track day....
Hey Jigmoore,Since you won't be racing at G-man, would you work a corner. We are going to need the help. ;)
I dig the icon. Makes me want to put back up my girly icon. You out did me! I can't stop laughing! ;D
I ain't in your league Jig. :(
Even if I make it there (1) I'd be on my trusty '94 F2 (it's plenty strong :o. I still haven't wrung it for all it's worth), and (2) I ain't in the advance group :-/

you know...i was planning on corner working that weekend but i realized two things.
1) i hadn't asked anybody how to get involved in it
2) i am helping pit b!tch for heavy penny since he's racing.
but i am definitely interested in corner working in the future. i think it should have been a requirement before we get our race license.
Jig. Dude, you brought that scary-a$$ picture over here? (shuddering) eeewwwww. :o ;)
Hey Jig, going to Gingerman? We will need help there too if you are not racing. If you decide to work, just track down another corner worker or Bill Ritger (usually in the tower). ;D
