Title: Official CCS Happenings...
Post by: TiffineyIngram on August 19, 2005, 09:40:19 AM
I wanted you all to know that I have resigned my position as event manager with CCS.  Eric and I have decided that our little girl needs a full-time mommy, and let's face it, I'm more mommy-ish than Eric (although he's tried).  I had to make a choice about what mattered most, and I chose Maddie.  I want you all to know that I have enjoyed the last four years more than any other time in my life.  You racers have shown me that challenges don't always equal disaster, and that one bad day does not define a person.  I will miss hearing from you guys as often as I have, but I'll still be your biggest fan.  I may not be inside the inner-workings, but I'll still be on the sidelines rooting you on.  I am certain there will be days that I will regret leaving and wish I was back in the middle of things, but I am certain I will never regret my choice to be a mommy.

My last day is today.  I will continue to go to select races, although not as often as before, and I may have a red-headed munchkin following me around.  I look forward to seeing you all out there again some time soon.

Love,
Tiffiney

Congratulations on your decision Tif!  I'm sure it wasn't an easy one to make, but you will appreciate it in the long run.

A quick corporate question...  Are they backfilling your position?  Please GOD tell us yes...

Tiff,

You know as well as I do that you will enjoy the next 4 years more than you have enjoyed the non-sense we have made you put up with.

Thank you for being there for us children when we needed you...

and thank you in advance for being the great mom we always knew you would be! (dang'it... where's the weepy tear eyed smiley when you need it)

(drama ::) )

take care,

I just saw the press release on RRW.com.  I was/am crushed.
One of the things I loved about going racing was seeing you.  I always felt a sense of relief knowing you were onsight.....Cause you were the "A" team.  Seriously, you have always busted your ass over every silly detail I threw your way, and the most amazing thing was you were always so darn cheerful.  Heck, you kept me motivated to stay relaxed & keep things fun.
I'm going to miss seeing you, and worse, knowing you're not there to keep things straight.
My selfish sadness aside.....Hooray!!  Good luck with the new direction in life!  We'll have to talk on the phone after Dr. Phil & Oprah to compare notes!  (Do I need a kid to stay at home & watch afternoon TV?)
Cheers,

Sorry to hear that your leaving Tiff, but you've made the right decision.

THE FOLLOWING IS MEANT AS ADVICE FOR TIFF, NOT AS A SUBJECT TO DEBATE!

Too many kids nowdays grow up under someone elses supervision other than their own parents. Ultimately too many parents value money/material possesions more than their kids upbringing so both of them work and use the excuse that they "have to", that's total BS! (then the oblivious parents wonder why so many kids end up with problems?) The CHOICE to have kids has its' sacrifices, unfortunately too many parents sacrifice their kids upbringing (instead of the 2nd income from both of them working) during those oh so valuable formative years before their kids begin grade school. I saw a study that said the following: 50% of how a person will react to situations for the rest of their life is determined by their experiences before the age of 5, 80% by the age of 8, and 95% by the age of 18. Not only is this a valuable factor in teaching kids at a young age about motorcycles for example, but it's extremely valuable in creating the basis by which your kids will make decisions for the rest of their life and how they will respond to you. I hate to lecture, but I see so many selfish parents that are in denial about how they are bringing up their kids that it's quite a sore spot with me, often times it takes someone on the outside looking in to identify problems that are so obvious. The excuse: "we both have to work to buy all the stuff our kids NEED" is common, the 'NEED' part of that is very debatable, it's a proven fact that an over abundance of toys for example will create a lack of appreciation for individual things in general, quite possibly for the rest of their life!

If their is indeed a true NEED or maybe just a DESIRE to supplement the families income then there are plenty of part time home based business opportunities out there that would still allow you to be a parent who doesn't have to leave the house to supplement the families income. Mabey there's even something you could be doing from home part time at your convenience for CCS for example, whether it's internet based or whatever? That would also most likely count toward a tax write off on costs involved and possibly part of your house?

Good luck in the future Tiff, I hope you and your family do well! (Also, try and keep your house out of the lake! ;)  ;D)

Tiff...

Great!

I was a Mr Mom, and it was great.  No amount of money in the world, or "hardship" that is seemingly creates, is of greater value than having time with you kids.

So, is Eric gonna work for FUSA now?  No conflict now, so he could...

Hello all!  I wanted to wait a couple of days before I responded to anyone...I needed to let myself realize this was really happening.  I hope you can all understand.  I've been with CCS for four years--since I was a 20-year-old kid.  Over the years I became engaged, married, and had my first baby.  Literally, I've grown up with and around you guys.  Saying it was a tough choice to leave would be a HUGE understatement.  I will miss all of you very much, but like I said I will still come to certain events where they can use an old retiree's help.  I'm going to try to respond to everyone, but if I start crying I'm going to pause and come back another time...

Jack, PJ, Dawn, Thumper, Peanut, Rob, Tug, Ninelives, Alexa, Rick and MJ: Thanks!  If Maddie weren't so dang cute I don't think it would be so hard! jk

Jeff/AM 276: I'm not privy to that information, but I am confident that CCS will continue to be the greatest roadracing organization in the country with or without me.  I'm sure Kevin will keep everyone posted on future employees, though.

Dave: Don't worry!  Everything will be okay...just breathe!

Chuck: I will definitely miss you.  Spending Wegman in the back of y'all's truck was awesome.  Wish I could do it again this year!

Kevin: It was great getting to know you.  But I'm the lucky one, not Maddie.

Rob: Thanks for making me cry!  You guys have made my life so much fun!  I hope in some small way I've given that joy back to you!

Stephen:  You had to go and make me cry too!  You are such a very special person.  I always love talking to you--you always make me laugh, and I always felt like you gave me great jumping off points for new ideas.  I will miss you so much.  I'll still come to see you at races, though, to keep an eye on you and keep you motivated.  Remember, there's no point to it if it isn't fun.  Ever seen "The Wizard of Oz"?  Check out the end and what she says to the Scarecrow.  That reminds me of you, and how lucky I am to call myself your friend.

Mr. Card:  Thank you so much for your props!  Oh, and Maddie already has 3 motorcycles: a Z50, a YSR, and a 3-wheeled ATC 70.  We want her to be well-rounded.  :

Mike:  I've always said F40 racers are the best!  I agree with your comment whole-heartedly.  I've always felt that a child should be raised by one of their parents.  Eric has done a great job for over a year but we're changing stages in our lives and Maddie needs a full-time parent, not just going to work with Daddy.  I have been agonizing over this decision since Maddie was born, but the timing for our little family is right, so it was just time.  I wish we would have made certain parenting changes before now, and I worry about how she'll adapt, but I think it's still early enough to learn that Mommy is Mommy, and Daddy isn't.  :)  You're right, a lot of people are too concerned with material possessions, or perhaps they're stuck in a situation where they just can't give it up (similar to mine).  But I think it's important to make those decisions before the bundle of joy arrives.  We're definitely learning our mistakes, and we only let it go for about a year.

Dave:  Mr. Moms are awesome, but us Ms. Moms really miss out on actually being the Mommy.  It kills me that Maddie goes to Daddy for treats or for bathtime.  I so want her to know that Mommy loves her too.  But will a more-than full-time job sometimes it's hard to be a career girl (do not read as hooker) AND a mom.  I got to the point that both isn't possible.  Since I won't give up being a mommy, I had to give up the career.  Who knows, maybe after Maddie's in school I'll make a come-back.  We'll have to wait and see.  As far as Eric goes, I think he'll just keep driving the truck keeping you guys safe.  His whole mission in life right now is airfence for when you guys get bored (that's my theory, ask Eric next time you see him).  He's sold his company and is taking a hiatus from a real job until September 1st.  Please let him know that you appreciate his hard work--his is far more important than most anything I did.

Again, to everyone: Thank you so much for your warm wishes.  I'm sure the next week or two are going to be extremely difficult for me.  Don't be surprised if you get random emails asking about what's going on, or perhaps see me lurking on the board to keep 'in the know'.  I'm still a fan, at the very least.  You guys have given me such a great four years!  I look forward to the ones to come!

Tiff? :'(

Maddie is lucky.  You've been playing mom to hundreds of racers, so you're well prepared to deal with one little girl.
I must admit, I'm feeling a bit whiney and selfish here....  CCS just won't be CCS without you around. :'(
Oh well.  the needs of a hoard of cranky racers is nothing compared to the needs of that little darling of yours.  I guess all I can say is thanks!  You're one of the good ones!
Gee....  I guess it's true that you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone.... :'(
