Title: Generator Generosity @ Barber
Post by: dstar26t on August 05, 2005, 05:03:02 AM
Anyone have a generator they don't mind sharing with me for my one set of tire warmers @ Barber?  I'm looking around to rent one, haven't found one yet...

Finally found a honda EU2000i to rent for $120/week.
I'll still take offers to share someone else's though!  I'll throw a few bones your way if it helps.

Just an observation - if you rent that generator twice, you're just about at the cost of one of the chinese Honda knockoffs you can get in the autoparts store for $260.

Are they loud like the coleman?  I also like the fact that you can run a laptop off the honda, and the size.
Thanks for the tip though, that's cheap.  What auto parts store has them?

You need to search for DB motorsports; darek.
Some of my wera buds have bought this and love it!
Darek is the Bridgestone tire dude.

they have nice gens for 325$...more watts (2800 or 2500w)...than the hondaue2000 and close to being as quite.

Dstar,  I don't know where you are in the country.  Here in Phoenix, you can get 2500-3500 watt generators modeled on a Honda design of the early 90's, that are quiet, in almost any autoparts store.

Here is a link to the local Checker Auto flyer.  They have three generators on this page (none are the 2500 or 3500W one, but you can check PepBoys or Autozone or whatever chain is near you).  The 1800W one on this page is like $179, they have a 4500W for $299, etc.

Just posting the link, no affiliation, yadda yadda.

We`ll be there and should have 3 generators.
If we have all 3 your more than welcome to hook up.
The only problem is i think when we register they are gonna assign pits.
