Great, just what I need more pictures to pine over!  I especially like the one where she mauled her hand... and then had the cool common sense to take a picture of it for our enjoyment.

is this YET another woman exploiting her sex, or does this one actually have enough talent to warrant factory support?

Where does it say she has factory support?

Nice site  :)  Definitely better than anything I've ever done!  Looks like she's quite the ham with all her little pose shots in there  LOL...

i was speaking about jessica zalusky.

of course, freshh off the whole dannica patrick sensationalism, and now this.

guess i'm i just can't stand the "look i'm a girl, and i race" thing.

either be equal, or not. just don't tip the scale when it suits you.

Rhiannon is my daughter...and...she's fast.

She's got sponsorship for the Nasmoto and Canadian Supermoto series. She's finished as high as 4th plase in Nasmoto and has virtually no motocross experience. She has run dirt track on occasion and podiumed.

She's has consistent top 5 finishes in AHRMA running a Sam West/CycleCat sponsored 998 Ducati, and has had a 3rd place against some pretty fast competition. She broke her collar bone last weekend running down 3rd place. Her mistake, she admits that.

She has 3 regional Championships with CCS and has tied for two additonal, but lost on performance index.

She can keep pace with guys like Jeff Johnson, (FUSA Thundebike champ), Can win easily in the rain, not very easily intimidated, and has embarrassed more guys who thought she was "just a girl".

The biggest compliments come when she'd running against someone and they think she's a guy with long hair. (until she takes the helmet off.)

There are guys out there running around getting sponsorship as well. I don't care if you're first, last or somewhere in the middle, you're entiitled to market yourself and get the sponsorship,

Rhiannon's goal is to be a fast  and agressive competitior, as well as a good ambassador for the sport. Her mentor and close friend is Gary Nixon. Her sponsors find her outgoing and pleasant, and a highly visible spokesperson for their products.

When it comes to sponsorship, it's not always about the finishes, but also about selling the product. Rhiannon finishes well enough to be respected, and that is what makes her an asset to the sport.

cool with me. just curious.

so..... i'm already assuming she can beat zulusky?

Curiously enough, they've never been in head to head in competition, and they ride different machines. She's way cuter than Jess, but that's just mom talk. ;D

Personally though? I'd say, yeah, she could probably beat JZ. :P ;) ;D

all good. i just don't like the "for a girl" type thing. (not that you do either".

So what do you think of the site, you ol' lecher?  :o ;D

Serious, email me if you think there are some prudent changes to be made. I appreciate your input.

+1 on her being WAAAAAY cuter than Zalusky.. no offense or anything.  You have to realize it's not HER fault she's a girl.  Sponsorship is about return on the dollar and companies know they can get a lot of return from something unique.  Even if she wasn't fast, she's diverse.

My guess is that he'd disagree.  Not to mention, he gets paid.  I seem to remember Kneedraggers.com being his primary sponsor.  That coupled with the fact he dominates any regional weekend he attends and I think he's doing ok.  Any more smart ass comments?

PS - it's Jensen

Don't tempt him....

He's FULL of them.  There's a reason that he calls himself "mad_brad".....

.... it's because he has an uncanny way of getting everyone mad at him.  Then he goes, "mission accomplished."

 ;)

Listening to Killswitch at that moment so it didn't take a whole lot. *mission accomplished*

I just think you shouldn't hate someone for something beyond their control.  What heterosexual male would give her crap anyway?

i asked a question, it was answered. and yes, i disagree. you may like the"marketing" side of racing. i'll stick with, and enjoy  the "racing" side of racing.

thank you.

Oh geez.  Don't even get me started on the 'girl card' in racing.  All I have to say in my defense is...get off the computer and take it to the track if you're going to talk smack.  I paid for all my own racing with my hard-earned dollar as long as I've been on the track (bought my own bikes, turned my own wrenches and paid my own expenses).  I accomplished all my wins and top finishes against new machines on ragged worn equipment/bikes (because that's all I could afford).  I followed the entire F-USA series on an outdated/ill-horsepowered machine, traveled across the country ALONE, and finished respectably in all the events.  I never asked for hand-outs or ill-deserved sponsorship.  Mom and Dad didn't pay for my racing (but they did help me when I was in a $ crunch), and only a few people turned wrenches on my equipment.  I race to race, and I wrench to wrench.  My intentions are to win races, represent my sponsors, and have FUN.  I quit my good paying job, gave up all the simple luxuries I can spare, and forewent a social life (including boyfriends), just so I could succeed at a racing career.  My lap times speak for themselves, and I know there are a few racers out there a little suprised by what I dished out on the track this year.  I've even been offered instructor slots, based on my speed, while I attended race schools this year.  There is a reason I don't have an AMA license, YET.  I am developing, and my results reflect that.  Between my 3rd with the 748R, and my 4th on the KTM, I am stepping up.  And when I am healed from my broken collarbone (which I am healing with no pain medication) I will bring home more podiums.  And as for the comparison between JZ and I, we will only know who's faster when the time comes.  She is a talented rider with great potential (and a friend of mine).  As for my competitive side, I will do everything in my power to be the fastest racer I can be.  Which includes riding every chance I get.  This season has been a turning point, with people offering machines and support for my riding.  These offers have been extended not on the merit I'm a girl...but on the merit I am a fast rider with marketing opportunities not common in the industry (and because Mum and Pop want to see me achieve my dreams).  I don't have a god-given 'set', so I'll work with what I've got.  The point behind racing is not always to win (which I'd love to do every weekend), the point is to sell motorcycles, and related equipment, to support the industry.  Thanks to all the people who believe in me and know the true ME.  I will do you all proud, and not exploit the glaring fact that I am a girl.  I turn the soapbox back to whomever wants it...
Ciao, Rhiannon  :-*

waaa waaa waaa  She got to stay up longer than I did waa waa

Why complain when one of our fellow (snicker) racers gets noticed or can pull off more support than another?  She's a racer, like you, like me.  If she gets support you couldn't get, pat her on the back and be proud.   It's not like there's a lot of support in this sport, and when a fellow racer can find some, good for them.

Gurl, you go for it.  If you draw extra attention to the sport, then we'll all benefit.

Hey, anyone else who doesn't like it, too bad for them.

I see the problem.  "Healing with no pain medication"  You are missing the one good part of crashing.  Just give it a chance... ;)

LOL, Dr. Ting would beg to disagree. If you want to be up and running in record time, pain meds are not an option.  ;) ;D

Mmmmmm... dilaudid.  The best part about breaking my shoulder 3 years ago  ;)

And ditto to what Russ said.

That's pretty noble of you, Rhiannon, to purposely NOT exploit your gender to get you ahead.  I can't say that I'd do the same if I was cute and knew how to work it  ;)
