Title: Slick weights?
Post by: cardzilla on July 18, 2005, 05:33:39 AM
I searched for an answer to this question and I didn't find a thing, here or otherwise.  Kind of strange.

Anyway, does anyone have accurate weights for the various brands of slicks?  Dunlop, Michelin, Pirelli.  Why are they so damn tight lipped about it anyway?

There are lots of different kinds.  And then they get changed.  So, weights for each real race slick would probably change depending upon the carcass design and the amount of rubber that is actually used on the tire.

The print version of Roadracing World from June of this year has weights listed in a pretty big slick and DOT test.
