Title: 03 GSXR 1000 question
Post by: Mikeo on July 14, 2005, 05:15:40 PM
Quick question, a friend has an 03 GSXR 1000 and he keeps getting the FI light coming on. What would a reason for this be and how do you reset the light?

Thanks

removing the exhaust valve and not unplugging a certain wire from the ECM

Bike is completely stock, so I would think this is not the problem. Any other ideas?

Don't have an 03 GSXR1000. but if the ECM is sensing something in the diagnostic mode, it may have a code.  Could be lots of things.  Coil, crank sensor, cam sensor, etc.

There's a jumper somewhere in the harness that one should be able to get the code number, potentially, for the issue.  Won't tell you what to fix, but it will give someone the direction to look.
