Title: Not racing related
Post by: Fat_Nate on July 11, 2005, 08:02:33 AM
Did anyone happen to see the tag-line for the new 140bhp BMW naked bike?

"You don't need a hibachi to cook Japanese."

Wow.

Yeah, I saw that ad. I actually though it was too negative for BWM to stoop that low.

My opinion, for what it's worth: I really don't care what bike you ride, or what discipline, if you are passionate, gor for it.

Cruisers, choppers, dirt bikes, enduros, sport bikes, Italian, American, Japanese, British, roadracing, touring, flatrack, supermoto...whatever your flavor, embrace it, and deny the naysayers. :D

Not such a new trait for BMW public relations.

For Harley's 100th anniversary there were BMW billboards up in Milwaukee that said something to the effect, "We'd tell you congratulations but you probably wouldn't be able to hear us."

Not necessarily a put down, but certainly a dig!
