Title: enclosed trailer question...
Post by: Woofentino Pugrossi on June 25, 2005, 12:25:49 AM
Anyone ever had the plastic cap on the front wall/roof area crack? I just noticed mine cracked and is separating in teh heat. I tried to epoxy it together last weekend, but apparently it didnt take. Might have to glass itfrom teh inside and then use "special" epoxy on teh outside.

BTW Pace trailer. I wonder if teh plastic cap is available separately so I can replace it when it cools off before winter. Also wonder how much a PITA is it gonna be to do.

How old is it?  Pace had a running problem with the caps cracking.  Call Pace directly with your VIN.

It's not necessarily a problem with every Pace trailer cap, but it does happen.

Bought new in March 2003. Still under teh 3 yr warranty.

I figured it happens. I dont know if it was because of the heat or something hit it when I had to go to Lake Geneva to pick up a broken down Ducati or when I took said broken down Ducati to Barrs in Madison last weekend. I'll have to call Pace Monday or Tuesday. Thanks Dave. :D

Yes, mine broke a few months ago.  Call your dealer.  They told me that they have "a few" that do this.  Watch your wiring when they replace the cap.  I kept blowing the running lights fuse for a while.  I think it was because they pinched or re-ran the wiring wrong. Other than that everything was fine.

Speaking of Trailers...

Hey Dave, any idea on rust warranty?

My new in 03 trailer has a good couple of bubbled out spots on that $500 RV style side-door...  :-/

Call Pace.

I'm out of the industry.  We never had problems like that, but, with manufacturing, anything can happen.
