Title: 10 Years for Donald Jacks
Post by: wizard on June 21, 2005, 06:57:46 AM
Most of you guys who know me know I wear a number 59 on my leathers. It's for the most talented racer ive even known, Donald Jacks.

This Friday will be 10 years since his passing. Here is a small link to an article smoking Joe put together.

He was a true champion and I miss him and his smile greatly. Donny was a rain master. FUSA Champion, Raced for Yoshimura Suzuki, Team Valvoline, Did a moto GP stint on Kevin Swantz's bike, what more can I say

Donny we all miss you, hold that trophy high in heaven.

I remember him racing at Moroso against Mark Chin. They used to have some good batles. He was always a real cool guy and a very talented racer!

I can't believe it's been 10 years since his passing. One real unfortunate accident!

And the guy had a great sense of humor. When he'd call me, he would start off with "it's your hero"! He was just kidding but he really was my hero.

Here's a Jack's/Quarterley story...

They were both racing for Dutchman, I & II, in the AMA Three Hour Endurance races...

Donald always used to look back during those race, so Dale would always have his hand on his clutch side up in a way that he could always be waving at him when ever he looked back.

He was a very fine rider.  Ended too soon.

The Jacks family would like to thank all of you for remembering Donald.  This is truly a hard day to get through for us but hearing the good things people have to say about Donald really helps us. We had a great time at Race Rock last nite telling stories. Thanks again
