Title: Here we go again--Pirelli Certs??
Post by: firerider on June 14, 2005, 09:32:16 AM
Ok so at RR last weekend I was talking to the pirelli guys about how come Pirelli has not sent out any certs, and they tell me that pirelli is still waiting on the CCS paperwork! Now I know CCS is hard at it but someone speak up with the truth, Tires are dang $$$ and if CCS is doing there part and sending off the paperwork asap then I need to get another tire distributor. Nothing has showed up all year so far and I know there are several others in the same boat. So whats up??

I was told by Perelli, that It takes them 3 day's from the time ccs send's them the paper work. I too am spending money needlessly. If this keep's up I'll have to cut back on my entry's.

I don't know if I fully believe it's CCS's fault though.  I know Henry from the florida region sends that stuff out ASAP.  I still didn't get my certs till yesterday...that's a month and a half.  I know Henry got that info out within a week after the race.

thats a bunch of bs,ccs has all the race results posted on the site.I have called and called and emailed and no answer from them. When I get down to homestead this next weekend I will be chatting with the dunlop guys about what they can do for me.I am a front runner in all the ex lightweight classes and they owe me atleast $800 in tire money for this season...and last season I just gave up! :-[

Call Pirelli in Georgia directly. She'll take care of you, I will get the info and post it later as I don't have it at my disposal at the moment. Or someone who is reading this can post it also.

If I can get my handling issues fixed with Dunlop, I'll definitely be back with them.  They were VERY predictable with contingency.  It's almost always 4-5 weeks after the race.  I could almost tell you the week it would come.  That's not a horribly fast turn around, but the point is that it was ALWAYS there.

I've called, and sent e-mails, and have heard nothing. Talked to Trackside today, they said they thought Debra was out of town.
She has always returned my call promptly, so this might be why.

Dunlop is super reliable with contingency. I've recieved everything so far from them this season from the Daytona opener to the last Blackhawk on Memorial weekend.

My guess is it's not CCS. That said, when I was on Pirellis, Deb was very responsive and good to work with.

The Dunlap guy and the michelin guy have both said the same thing....its CCS not getting the stuff to the tire companies.

As for the tire money you are out...I'm in the same boat. 13 firsts, 4 seconds and 1 third and not one cent of contigency.
