Looks like freako-man is not guilty. Just saw the verdict read live on TV in our breakroom here at work.
I thought for sure they'd have convicted him this time around...
what a crock!
From my studies in college, on a case like this if the jury hasn't come back within 1-2 days, it's a not-guilty. Sad, but did we really think MJ would go to jail?
He'll do it again. It's a lifestyle for him. Hopefully next time they'll nail him. At least he's A LOT LESS RICH than he was before.
Speaking of doing it again, the local Kankakee DUI king just got caught DUI. He was out on parole from killing two teenaged girls while DUI. The man has a rap sheet miles long, all of it involving.... Can you guess? DUI. This guy has been in so much trouble around my small town that his name is a household word here.
You'd think that once he KILLED a couple people, we'd have seen the last of him, but NOOOOOOO! And if he gets out again? He'll just earn a few hundred, buy a car, and drive it to the nearest bar like every time before. Every break he's had over the years has just led him to escalete his behavior, right up to those two poor girls. Rehabilitation? HA! Why did he EVER get out? The justice system sucks.
Sorry. Finished ranting. But if the $#itstain runs over MY wife, I'll finish his story, plain and simple.
I dunno... Personally I just think he makes himself too vulnerable to crap like this. Did he do it? Only OJ knows...
WHO'S OJ ???
Next time if we are lucky some parent of a kid offs the freak. >:( >:(

I don't know about Cali... but in IL - they ONLY care about money. I know a lot of people who have had DUI's - one in particular has had three. Hasn't killed anybody, or even run into anyone... but he's still had 3 nonetheless. And he's still driving. Legally.
Hire a decent lawyer, agree to pay a decent-sized fine... and you can make anything go away here.
It's no different for Michael Jackson. He'll keep doing it, and probably keep getting off (no pun intended) until he runs out of money.
As a parent I'm quite sickened by it, honestly. I mean, does ANYONE doubt that he's guilty on at least some of the charges? Come on, not guilty on ALL of them? Obviously there's something going on here. ::)
Quote The justice system sucks.
Same old story - whose Rights are more important - those of the accused or those of the victim. The legal system has definitiely tipped the scales in the wrong direction.
As far as MJ goes, just as in politics, if you're not a squeeky clean plaintiff, the opposition will take a little dirt and build a mountain out of it!

Pedophilic tendancies and behavior is not a "little dirt"
Guys a rapist/sexual predator, which in my book deserves him death. That he prays on children makes him even worse.
Seriously though, MJ rocks!

Sorry - I should have written that last part more clearly.... by taking a little dirt and building it into a mountain I meant what the defense lawyers did to the accusers family.
Jim:
As for your comment in regards to the "$$"; California is the same.
The battle is about who can present the best story, how much that person can afford to have the story told, etc.
If I were to ever get into trouble (and get caught), I'd be sunk :( Racers have better things to spend their "$$" on ;D
The person who has the most to fear from the legal system is the middle-class wage-earner. If you've been working hard and straight all your life just to have a little, then you lose either way when the law comes calling. Innocent? You probably just spent a year's wages to prove it. Guilty? All that stuff you've been paying for will be gone when you get out, and you won't have a job, either.
Celebritys and the super-rich can buy freedom. (Except Martha Stewert.) Crooks don't care, because jail is just a place to chill, network, and learn new criminal skills. The rest of us have everything to lose, so we tread carefully and try to avoid trouble.
Funny as hell... LMAO'ing here in the office.

Ahem ...
Has anyone given thought to the possibility that he in fact did not commit the crimes he was accused of?
One might think that there would be more evidence if the allegations were true, wouldn't they? We had a lot of "he said / she said bull****" from a woman who has a track record of gold-digging, but we didn't have DNA, video, phone calls, photos, bodily fluid samples, skin under the fingernails or abrupt changes in the behavior of the alleged victim, did we? ... did we? What we had was an abrupt change in the behavior of the mother of a terminally ill child when Jackson made the decision to stop providing care and support for the family, didn't we?
No one argues that he's different. But consider this – he's EARNED the right to be different. He's sacrificed his entire being – all of his life – for the sake of others – in singing, dancing, Neverland and more. Think about that – he's never lived his own life. Think about that. He has earned every fkn right to be himself.
Go to the library and read about Peter Pan Syndrome. It's a genuine condition that he has. This accounts for a lot of his behavior. Look in the mental health section – not 'lynching' or 'legal'.
Have any of you ever been stalked? Falsely accused? Gold-dug? Extorted? Have you ever heard of a pro athlete or other high profile figure being targeted by someone who has nothing to lose and something to prove? Funny how often these things disappear – and not because they're settled. The media hates to bring good news, but if you look, you'll find it. Usually, the empty accusations evaporate. Until you've been victimized in this manner, you have no clue – NO FKN CLUE – how crazy people can be – no clue. Do you really think Tyson was guilty – really? Think about it ...
Rather than teaching and requiring people to drive better and execute better judgment, we accept their poor abilities, judgments and behaviors and instead build airbags and permit repeat drunk drivers (don't fkn get me started on THAT) to continue to drive. Heaven forbid we should hold "mother of the year" responsible for once again fabricating and perpetuating a lie that potentially nets her financial gain.
I think a couple of things ...
In time, I think the kid will come forward with the truth. I think that guilt is instilled in us all – it just takes more time to work with some of us, but it eventually works with all of us. Even Malvo / Allen (as sick as they are) were eaten by enough guilt to turn themselves in by writing a taunting, clue-filled letter to a magazine that led authorities to them as they slept in their car at a rest stop. I think eventually, the kid will have to cut loose with this.
Less rich? Wake the fk up ... Trump stated MONTHS ago that WHEN Jackson was acquitted, he wanted Jackson to come perform in his new casino. Enter Steve Wynn and what do you have? The two deepest pockets in the country inside a chain link cage with no gloves for the biggest ticket in the country. But wait! Then there's Asia and Europe – who are BALLISTIC over Jackson. Is Asia wealthy enough to get MJ? (Insert cynical laugh here) I don't even think that FOX can come up with the coin to satisfy what MJ will now command as a performer (though they are sure to try). People who LIKE Howard Stern listen to him for 2.5 hours per day. People who HATE him, listen for 3.25. Do you not think for one minute that if Jackson is performing anywhere, his haters won't buy a ticket? Less rich? "Don't be stupid!".
Also, learn to understand non-verbal communication and accessing cues. In every tape I've seen of Jackson, I haven't detected fabricated responses. I DID see them when the woman drove her kids into the lake and pleaded for them to come back (she got busted by an embedded traffic light sensor – AMAZING story). I DID see them when OJ's verdict was read and all through the trial (these were VERY obvious). And I DID see them when Clinton made his "step off" speech (though this was mostly in the exceptionally crafty choice of the words he used). In short, though I could be wrong, I don't believe he's lied when addressing these issues.
Lastly, Jackson has the legal right to file against the "victim's" mother and the state. I hope he does. If he does, he'll win hands down (there is plenty of perjury on record). I hope that someone, sometime SOON straightens out the headcases who are polluting our country by perpetuating the idiocy that the way to succeed in life is to victimize people who have EARNED what they have.
Oh ... and don't forget ... from a small part of Italy, the worldwide ruling came recently that there was a "one boy limit". If the King of Pop went to divinity school, perhaps he could use this as his mulligan.
Yes, I could be wrong, he could be guilty – but then again, he could just be different.
Thx for reading ...

What? How dare you come in here and try to be reasonable about this. This board isn't for open minded, thinking individuals like yourself. We are bigots and we demand a forum for our snide opinions. Where else do we have the freedom to carp ad nauseum about the American juducial system? You must be some kind of left leaning Hollywood media liberal type. Fah! Fah! I fart in your general direction and blow my nose on your pillow!!
;D
Okay, okay. Seriously... I agree that wacko Jacko is just weird enough that it's quite possible he didn't actually do anything.
But wait! This is an internet forum...He's a witch! He's a witch! (Well, we did do the nose..and the hat...)
Burn him anyway!!
By the way, excellent writeup. +1

Please, Griff. You made an eloquent case, and it's hard to disagree with many of your points, but....
I really think Jackson is a child molester. I think he's done it in the past, and paid off the victims to avoid trial and prison. Sure it's wrong that this pschyo broad was trying to rip off his millions, and yes, she was probably lying. I mean with the guy's record, who would trust him with their kids? Only a gold digging extortionest. But that doesn't change the fact that Jackson is what he is. Would I like to see OJ get the chair for some other unrelated murder that he actually did not commit? Karmic justice is good, too.
As for Jackson, what is that old saying? If it walks like a duck....
Here's the thing... Child molester or not, I'm not letting my kids spend unlimited amounts of time there or sleep in his bed! That is absolutely insane.
Sure, it MAY be perfectly innocent, but I'm not interested in that type of exposure.
Looking at the mother is what killed the case. The woman is a parasite. She sues and leaches off anyone/anything with money. Right now, anybody with a few $M in the bank could probably slaughter her family on video and be acquitted based on how many times she's cried wolf...
All that said, Griff, I agree with your post, and I don't know whether he did it or not. I can't say...
Hear for all to see ...
Thx for the props, gang ...
I'm sorry, but that interview he did sealed it for me. HE SLEEPS WITH KIDS!!!!! Ya know, it's fine to do with your own children and that's where it ends! The guy isn't right in the head and should not be allowed to even LOOK at a child anymore.
Gotcha Clay, but the thing is, be appalled at the moronic parents, not MJ...

Agreed! I think alot of them really didn't know what was going on. But once you realize your child is sleeping in the same f'ing bed as that sick man...WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU LET THEM STAY?!?!
Then there is the matter of personal responsability. I think teenaged girls are very pretty, but have not kissed one since I was a teenager. Why not? Because it's against the freaking law! :o Heck, 18 year old guys have gone to jail over consensual behavior with their 17 year old girlfriends. If you have a brain, you avoid problems like this in the first place.
Jackson has done weird things with boys for years. He's gotten in trouble for it before. He's paid settlements and been investigated. At some point, either he or his handlers should have said, "Dude, this is gonna come back to bite you!" I mean, when does it sink in? Today the paper says that this behavior is going to stop. "THERE WILL BE NO MORE SLEEPING WITH BOYS! It's the freaking headline! Doesn't everyone else already know better?
QuoteGotcha Clay, but the thing is, be appalled at the moronic parents, not MJ...
There it is right there, thank you. This is the second time he's been brought up on charges, right? The parents were aware of MJ's track record with little boys in the bedroom, bathtub, shower, etc.. However, the parents went ahead and let their children be exposed to IT anyway. Now, the pathetic parts of the scenario are the parents out there plotting right now to get their children into this psycho's Neverland, essentially in hopes of a book deal. It's the parents' sickness for allowing their children to spend time with the freak for monetary purposes. This is the value SOME people place on their children.
Stepping out on a biggoted limb here, I guess; I really don't wanna hear about MJ's stalkers who are gold-digging extortionists that are after his bank accounts or fame. The neighborhood boys around here wander into our garage to learn about motorcycles, I help them learn how to fix their bicycles and throw a fastball. Learning how to sleep in a stranger's bed with other little boys is not part of the lesson book on growing up. What is this crap? Not guilty? The PC of it all is getting nauseating.
Quote The neighborhood boys around here wander into our garage to learn about motorcycles, I help them learn how to fix their bicycles
Rock on! Now THAT sound familier!
Not to defend the freak, but it just appeared that people were trying to fleece him this time. The extortion didn't work so they went to the police. I'm sure he's done some pretty sick stuff, but I actually think the right verdict was given. Of course, none of us knows anything factual anyway so everything is a hunch.

Fleecing motives or not, he molested the kid(s) ...even w/ the parents consent, it doesnt matter.
Evil, plotting parents or not.... he guy is a pedophile and a child rapist. He should be tortured to death.

Possibly, possibly not. A parent that would put their kid through this would not hesitate to make false allegations either. I agree if he did anything he should rot in jail, but the parent should be put down. The whole situation sucks no matter what really happened.
MAN, you guys are ROUGH ...
Tortured to death?
Wow ...
Tell me your real name so I can be sure to be nice to you ...
Wow ...
Yup, no quarter for a child molester (alledgedly). There are few things worse... actually, there is nothing worse.
