Title: One thing I learned at my first AMA race
Post by: stumpy on June 06, 2005, 05:46:39 PM
Even if you're #1, you still have to kiss the mechanic's butt...

It was great to see all the local guys run.  And the 'GO STUMPY' shirts that we were all sporting was the best!  You were well represented (as always), and looked to be having a blast out there.

It was cool to see Dan O, Andy, Super Dave, Doty, Drucker & Simon as well, but they've been out and have run the AMA circuits before (well, maybe not Simon).  But you on the other hand, it was your first run at it...

BTW, you *MUST* make a press release for RRW to say what a great time you had getting 3X place...  And hey, have a plaque made up for your wall of fame...

I had the time of my life! I could skip 2 CCS races, race for 29th place and still have a better time! It was a bonus having some of my CCS friends there too. Thanks for all that came out and help out. When the next AMA round anyway ;)

I think that would be fine.  His mom took it and she's pretty proud!

I don't think we'll be at MidOhio unless the time off fairy lands in the U.P. soon.  Next year will probably be better for it.  Hopefully Brainerd will be back on the schedule then, too.

QuoteI didn't think that you'd be going?
QuoteHow come? It all comes down to time off work and money, If both are available I will be there. How can I find out more info about the stuff happening before the AMA event? Like is there going to be a Promoters practice like they had at Road A, and someone told me that there was going to be a Sportbiketrack day there on Thursday. But truthfully if it comes down to it I think that if I have to choose between Mid ohio and Road Atlanta, I think I am going to do Road Atlanta.
