What would be the BEST gearing choice on a SV for VIR? Just wondering. :-/
Like you haven't raced there before. And if you haven't....hmmmmm. ;D
No, that was my stunt double there...j/k. I was just wondering what the hot setup was for gearing there......I gotta keep my streek up on holeshots ;) I'm going to try a 15 front and a 44 rear?
on an 02 sv ., i was runnign 2 up in the rear from stock., and woould top out just after the tree.... i needed taller gearing ., maybe trying 1 up from stock instead., or even stock..
clue me in...what was stock on an '02 SV?
i think 16x45
I'll give it a try during a practice session.
15 x 45 seems to work pretty well for me.
Good luck down there! I may show up to bother everyone I can't be racing with...you know, hang out in their pits, eat their food, give bad gearing advice...(j/k) :P
LOL ;D You would never give me bad gearing advise....right? ;) Thanks I was going to try the 45 in practice. Maybe see yah down there?
You see me, or not! I'll see the back of your bike! ;)
QuoteYou see me, or not! I'll see the back of your bike! ;)
& thats the way I like it! j/k ;D
Stock for the naked SV is 15/45, on the S model its 15/44. On SS motors 15/45 works good at VIR unless you are in the 1.41 lap time range then a 44 rear might work as you need to carry more corner speed with the 44 to get a good drive at the exit. Dont even think of using a 15/46, you will get killed on the front straight.
I knew I shoulda went with a 44. Good jorb this weekend Chris. I wasn't that far behind you this time. ;)
