Title: Roebling Road Questions
Post by: Lifer on May 31, 2005, 09:44:35 AM
Does any one know if there is going to be a practice day on the Friday before the CCS races at Roebling Road?  If so, who is running it and how much does it cost?

This will be my first time to RR, so I was wondering what kind of gearing people on 03/04 R6 run?

The track always holds a practice day/track day on Friday, independent of CCS.  I want to say cost is 85 bux, but don't hold me to that...and it may have changed.

I can't help you with gearing, but I usually run -1 front, +1 rear on my 929.

Clay, thanks for the information.  I looked on RR website and it looks like the practice will cost 100.  Do you know if you can drop off trailers the night Thursday night?  Also, is there electric at the track?

Yes, there is plenty of electricity.  I believe you can drop off the trailers Thursday.  I don't know what time the gate closes as I always end up making it there pretty late and just park outside the gate and sleep in the truck.

If it helps...the main straight at RRR is about the same as the main straight at VIR w/o the kink by the tower....

Thanks for the input guys.  My last question is what is a good laptime there?  What do the Experts run there?

Experts typically run in the 16's.  Geoff May recently set the record with a 12.3.
