I was told that an SV650 swingarm will fit on a Hyabusa, anyone seen or heard of this??
I figure that this combo could be very interesting.
It would make the total length shorter and maybe u could turn that pig, and lots o ponies. Can we say Yee-Haw!!
No But I heard of people putting GSXR750 swingarms on them.
If you're planning on doing this, the shock mount on the swing arm will need to be moved. The SV's shock is offset because of the exhaust vs. an in-line four.
Plus, why would you want to put an SV swing arm on a 'busa? If a superbike motor on and SV can twist the current swing arm, can you imagine what a 'busa motor would do?
Dawn ;)
P.S. Paul had both bikes, I throw this at him to see what he says.
I am with Dawn. ;)
Why would someone put a swingarm designed for half if not less hp/torque into a monster 'busa? There is a reason why bigger bikes have bigger/thicker/heavier swingarm! Can you imagine MotoGP bike with 240+ HP equipped with GP 250's swingarm? ???
Ouch!! That would be ulgy! :-/
I was just curious I know the swingarm is smaller size wise and probably cant take the stress but someone metioned it to me so i figured I'd ask.
How are the gsxr swingarms holding up. i figured when I got some extra change it would be a great unlimited gp bike at daytona.
SAY...."Pretzel"
How much shorter do you want your 'Busa swingarm?
Let me know and I'll take a look if it can be safely done ???
