Title: RRW Book: The little Motorcycle
Post by: Nate R on May 16, 2005, 07:58:44 PM
Anyone ordered this? Was it worth it? Did your kid(s) like it?

My mom is a teacher and is working on the side with a few individual kids struggling to read. She asked about books related to drag racing for one kid, and I thought about this book. just looking for someone who bought it for some input.

It's a cute little book!  I don't have kids, but ordered it anyways.  I used to race a TZ, which my husband is now racing.  They even have the little Accu-Mix jug pictured in there (that's how cute it is!).  I especially like the ending.     ;)

Bought it for my little guy it's pretty good just depends on how far along kids are with their reading.

If they are still reading books where words are repeated page to page to get them to remember certain sounds, then they won't be able to read this one on their own.

But if they are at the age, that they are sounding words out and know sounds of letters combined then that's the perfect age for this book. That age obviously varies with each kid, but gives you an idea of where in the reading curve this book falls.

If you don't want it for whatever reason, donate it to your local public library.   :)
