Then Haskovec lowsided his Team M4 EMGO Suzuki GSX-R600 in high-speed turn five. Haskovec preceded his bike into a concrete wall fronted by tires. The bike then hit Haskovec solidly.
A helicopter was dispatched to the crash scene, and Haskovec was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Trauma Center. His condition was not know at post time.
Our prayers to him and his family.
:(
This hits home for me in a way. During Bike Week at Daytona this spring I worked on the M4 Suzuki Team and talked with Vincent. He's a really fun / cool guy that's very dedicated to what he's doing and worked well with the team. My best wishes go out to him, his family, and the M4 Team. :-/

Heal well, heal fast!
hope he heals up quickly.
:(
I hope he recovers completely and quickly. I met him at Indy... what a nice, personable guy.
According to RRW, E-mail messages to Haskovec can be sent to:

This is the latest update on Vincent's condition:

Sadly Vincent is currently paralyzed from the chest down due to his T6 vertabra being shattered and having some of those fragments enter his spinal cord.
Hopefully Vincent wins this battle and regains 100% mobility. :-/
Cr@p...that blows.
Sears Point is really one of my most favorite tracks, but it is really intimidating because of some of the places that you could get hurt. These things don't happen that often, but it doesn't make me feel much better.... :(
Also note:
While some parts of the Infineon road course featured soft barriers designed to absorb impact, there were no soft barriers placed in front of the tire wall and steel barrier Haskovec hit. Following his crash, soft barriers were deployed in front of the barrier.

this is why i boowed the "new showers" and wireless internet at Blackhawk.
Id rather see the turn 4 wall moved back. I dont give a shit about the bathrooms when theres a wall 30 feet from the race track.

A-FRICKIN-MEN! Flatten it out and move the wall back. Yes, I understand the logistics, but the corner SUCKS right now... You may as well construct a nice ramp and put a foam pit 50 yards back to catch the riders...

SSHHHH! Don't give them any ideas. People might be willing to pay $25 to see that!
Wish you a SPEEDY and FULL recovery VH!!!!!!!!!
Get well Vincent. We are here supporting you through thoughts and prayers.
