...sustained by members of our racing "family", I would like to announce that I will be collecting donations at Blackhawk this weekend, to be divided equally between the Wegman Fund and MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer), in honor of the Junge and Rosno families.
Look for our van/trailer over by Tech.
Thanks, everyone.
OMG I feel really out of the loop here, what happened? See you at BHFs I'll do what I can to help...
Super Dave and Mark both lost their fathers recently.
Kim, I know it is real short notice but maybe we can throw together a real quick silent auction. I would be willing to donate some merchandise and we can use the proceeds just as you said. I'll be leaving here in a couple of hours. If you think this would be a good idea call my cell if you get a chance. 712-540-7747.
Good idea Rob! So sorry to hear the news...
Update:
A HUGE "THANK YOU" to LITHIUM MOTOR SPORTS and THE STUMPY'S!!!
Despite the short notice and not getting the word out at Saturday's rider meeting as originally planned, we still managed to raise roughly $500, which will be divided equally between the Wegman and the MACC Fund, on behalf of the Junge's and Rosno's, respectively.
Items donated included a Pit Bull rear stand, A-Stars back protector, Stomp grip pads, frame sliders, knee sliders, a very swank T-shirt and coffee mug emblazoned with the Team Stumpy logo, a warm and fuzzy Lithium Motorsports sweatshirt, and other cool things!
Thanks, everyone. Kim...special thanks to you and John for thinking about all this.
I'm just gettin home from my trip back. Basically "done" in Omaha at this time. Few things to be worked out with my sister's trust program that my aunt and I are personal representatives for, but basically, it's done.
Heading to bed.
See everyone at Blackhawk in a couple, few weeks? Prepare to have me take out some tension on the track... ;D
Mark here,
Just wanted to thank everybody for supporting my family. It has been a tough week, so sudden everything changes. I was very fortunate to work so close with my father the last 12 years. He was a father, friend, and teamate. I am still reaching for the phone to call him at least 3 times a day.
thanks,
Mark
