Title: Photographer at RA?
Post by: Chuck on April 25, 2005, 11:05:39 AM
OK so I was frozen stiff and to lazy to walk around the pits to find a photographer.  Anyone know if there was one?  Blake and I would love some photos.

Roger got some pix of you but missed Dan each and every time around(Might have gotten one). Thomas Stickney of Thomas Photogarphy was there. Don't know how many pictures he got, but you can email him thomasphoto30@hotmail.com

Roger is my hubbie. He wasn't racing so that means the camera comes out. You can thank him when you see us.  :D

Cool, Roger was shooting, and this was the first weekend out, so we had a hard time picking out riders from one another. New leathers, helmets and livery made that task really difficult. I'd call out the numbers and he would either get the shot or miss it. We tried to get most of the people we knew, but I'm sure we missed plenty.

He was shooting film and not digital, so if we got some shots, hopefully you'll get a few at BFR.

No, Jack has a new job and has had to cut his photography back this year. I know, it's a bummer, but he's gotta pay his bills.  :'(

Proof :

No pics of Mike, so Mike does not exist.

CC Dan did not show at RA, so CC Dan does not exist.

Therefore Mike is CC Dan and does not exist, only a figment of our collective imagination.

QED.

Cool!  There's a couple good ones in there of me.  Thanks Paul, I'll be 'borrowing' a few for my race report (with full credit of course).

The military wouldn't accept me for any cool positions due to the 3 pins I have in my hip, I could have done great as a Sniper or in other positions requiring stealth and thinking. So not to let these abilities go to waste I have used these skills in my racing career to stay invisible at the track. After all, how many people actually know who I am, and are still alive to talk about it? ;D ;) :P

Hi folks,

Probably a day late and dollar short, but here goes...

I was @ RA last weekend for the FUSA/CCS races in the bitter cold and blowing snow.  I've posted a gallery that includes a smattering of the going's on from that weekend, but will be posting Racers by Number and some shots of CCS racing (pack shots) over the weekend.  The site is www.superbikepics.com.  Just forewarning, it was so cold that a lot of the riders (not you diehards of course) didn't get a lot of laps in during practices on any of the days, so there won't be nearly as many individual racer pics as I normally shoot.

I too was disappointed not to see SliderPhoto there.  Since I've been coming to RA, he's been a fixture on the road race photo scene.  I don't think had any shooters there until Sunday, where photogs covering the 50th anniversary of RA were covering ExUnlGP and the FUSA Nationals.

Best wishes for a successful 2005 racing season.

Hey Ryan didn't realize you hadn't ever posted here before so now that makes Ryan from the office #1 here and you are R.M. here then I guess it flops when we get to the track?  ;D 8) :P

Whether online or in person, Ryan in the office will always be Rev. R.M. to me.

TC podium photos and Racers by Number are going up this weekend on the website.  I'm celebrating the big "Three-One" this weekend, so posting photos is competing with spending time with family & friends. :-)

Cheers,

Ryan, are your prices accurate?  $50 for a 640x480 digital?  Yikes...

And I don't mean to start a debate or anything because I know your photo equip and time is as expensive as my bike and my trip to the track too, but I'm sure you realize that every racer you run into is pretty much broke...  ::)
