QuoteThere are all kinds of schools that try to teach you the finer points of motorcycle control, but the only thing that can truly teach you how to race and how to become a faster racer is to go racing.  There is no substitute.  So, the newbies have to learn somewhere.  This is where they learn - in Amateur Racing (remember?  Amateur!).

Potentially, what your refering to is a lack of information at your school level.  Most schools only just circulate you around a track.  There is a certain amount of knowledge that can be passed in the proper context at a proper school.

The only why to become a faster racer is to learn how the bike works.  Again, that can be learned at a school, but seldom is even mentioned.

Bottomline, a rider reacts to how the bike gives feedback.  Many times, you can take a slower rider's bike, make some effective changes to it and the rider can comfortably go faster more consistently.  I can only do it myself so many students at a time.

All the determination in the world will seldom make you the fastest rider.  Knowledge about the bike and how it works will.
