Title: Need Help!!! GP shift conversion, 2002 R6
Post by: b dizzle on August 10, 2006, 09:19:22 PM
I'm trying to convert (using all the OEM equipment) my shifting from the standard 1 down 5 up to a GP style shift.  Does anyone know how to do this without going crazy? I'm tired of beating my head against the wall  :banghead:
The only alternative I can see is to drill through the shift lever and make a new mounting point for the linkage to mount to. Please Help!!!

Don't hold me to this (it's been a while since 02)  but - I think you move the hiem joint on the arm that fits the shift spline to the other side (allen head under rubber boot - re-locktite on install) and flip the arm 180 degrees.  Then run the shift rod outside the frame.  I think that's right.
