vortex tree

I was trying to find in the rule book if you can use a vortex top tree in super sport classes. or any other class for thet mater

does any one know?

in the rule book, if it doesn't specifically state you can't, then you can.  I believe you can run aftermarket triples.  The question is, why would you?

i think my upper tree is bent not sure yet i have to heal up before i get to check it
but anyway its just an option because it seems eaiser to get a vortex top tree then stock.
do you have some info that would make me want to run stock instead?
because i have know idea which is better

Stock is typically FAR cheaper than anything aftermarket.  Like to the tune of $100 for stock and +$500 for something aftermarket.

Assuming you have a bike manufactured within the last 10 years, getting a new upper triple should not be a problem.

I'm not sure what bike you're racing, but the top clamp on my '00 R6 was bent EVERY time I had it checked by GMD. Whether the bike had been on the ground or not. They straightened it every time. It seems the stocker was such cheap pot metal that I could bend it just by braking and cornering hard. Tieing it down wrong in the trailer could *easily* bend it. It wouldn't be bent enough to see. But, I found that I could tell by the way the extra stiction in the forks made them work.I would start getting a little chatter in some turns where there was none before and no other change to explain it. GMD would check 'em and straighten 'em and I'd be back to good again for a while.

If I had known then, I would have saved the money and hassle of all those straightenings, and bought an aftermarket clamp up front. The adjustable ones are really expensive, but you should be able to find a fixed offset one for $300 - $400, I think, depending on the bike.

but i am still wondering if a vortex top tree is supersport legal. for an r6
the rule book says you have to run a stock fron end but how many parts can you change to still be considered stock?
