Just an observation that I am sure that everyone probably knows....

The government does not know the meaning of the above.

Keep
It
Simple
Stupid

Just study some of the laws and acts sometime.  Who the heck wrote these things?   ???

Most laws in reguard to commercial commerce are designed with the sole reason to benefit campaign contributors. They have absolutly no value or reason, but it's the LAW.  In trucking it is usually disguised as public safety. Trucking is notorious for that and the rare cop that thinks for himself will tell you so, as he writes the ticket. It's just an obvious example of why small business struggles, and fails most of the time. Outlaw the competition or position them to be sued out of business and your business will prosper. It's easier than being more productive or more efficient. Write a check/pass a law. God save America.

Businesses should be efficent...

Government should be equitable...

Quote"Government is not the solution to our problems;  government is the the problem..."  Ronald Reagan...

Yeah - I'll admit it, I am a right-winged, conservative Repubican (most of the time).

One of the things that irritates me the most is when people say, "the goverment should to this for me, the government should do that for me....."  What ever happened to doing things for yourself?

I liked Reagan. I didn't like Clinton.  Thank goodness we  live in America where everyone can voice an opinion.

Thanks Eric:

There were some really good quotes in that post.

Super Dave

I am rather apolitical myself.  Comes from a long philosophical history of high ranking soldiers not to be involved in politics and government.  I was going to have a military career.  Moved a different way, but others still tried to steer me in while I served.  Would have had some nice opportunities.

However, over the past few years, a lack of common sense has kind of made me a bit angry.

Made me go out and vote.

And I really enjoyed the quotes!  Thanks...

And I found another good  ::) political quaestion.

It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here
are
the facts about the three leading candidates.

Candidate A - Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with
astrologists. He's had two Mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8
to
10 martinis a day.

Candidate B - He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used

opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C - He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't
smoke,
drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your choice? Decide first, no
peeking,
then scroll down for the answer.

    ---------------------------------------

    ANSWERS

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.

   Candidate B is Winston Churchill.

    Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

I went for A.  Ended up being FDR.

"Associates with crooked politicians..."

I guess you're got to be in amongst everything to get things done.

Getting kicked out of office?  Well, then I don't think you're playing the game right.

Vegetarian?  Nah, not for me.  America was founded on...  I think that was  another thread.
