Does your bike tend to run hot? I have seen as much as 230F with mine. Can't afford a trick front radiator set up so I am trying a cheap ($100) alternative of adding another small radiator. It was very easy to do. Not sure if it is going to be warm enough this weekend to tell if it is going to work. If you are at BHF this weekend, stop by and see my attempt at making my bike run cooler (I am hoping for at least a 10F drop).

I'm interested to see what you came up with (won't be at BHF though  :-/).  I guess the whole idea behind the side-mounted radiators was probably that the CG could be as far forward as possible, but they sure don't work that well.   ::)

You don't have the $$$ for one of the HRC kit radiators?   :o  ;)

Mrs tzracer is supercool, but not that super cool. Thus the RC is not super cool. ::) Ok...I have way too much time on my hands today, I'm gonna go get some work done.

Do or do not, there is no "try".

tigerblade's RC overheats cause he never takes it out of 1st gear when he's cruising the local strip at 35 mph trying to pick up highschool girls.

I saw around 218 last summer at Buttonwillow while riding mine last year.  I have seen something around 200 lately here in AZ and expect to repeat the 218 in the summer heat.  My bike has a slipon and PCII but other than that doesn't really have anything done.  I do run water/water wetter only in it.

Don't you have some animals to euthanize or something?

Yoyodyne carries a radiator kit, price about $1800. The problem I have with the kit is replacement parts. If I skip buying a new railer, I could get the kit. If my cheap experiment doesn't work, I may get a custom radiator made from C&R (they said about $350 to $450).

Yes Mrs. Tzracer is quite cool, but she prefers when I ride the TZ because then she has something to do at the track.

I am also going to get some of those side louvers. Anyone try them?

I've read about the Moriwaki radiator fins but didn't get the impression that they helped that much.

There is a guy in Canada making his own version (significantly cheaper, http://squidskins.com/). I am figuring every little bit may help.

Nice looking parts. Wish I had the extra cash.

No kidding.  I'm lucky to afford the distilled water I put into my stock radiators.   ;)
