Saw an old thread on it but was wondering if any of you run a camera on board?  Does tech give you a hard time, or is there a rule, or best place to mount it?

thanks

A bunch of people run them. I dont think they take them through tech though. Just make sure its very secure. Seen the hero one mounted on the front fenders, under the tail, side of the rear foot peg, gas tank, mirror mount and top of the tail. Just rmember it probably wont survive the crash.

tech has never given me a problem about mine and I have seen many others out there too. I cut a 1"  hole in the front fairing and point the lens striaght out. the wires and recorder are secured to my fairing stay, no problem

I should rephrase the "It wont survive.." to "make sure its a cam that you wouldnt be too upset about possibly being destroyed.".

I have a Go Pro Hero, too.  Love it.  Easy to work, unlimited mounting points, not too awfully expensive.

BTW, Jimmy Anderson went down @ GIR in T7 last week, mounted on the tank.  He took a NASTY spill, which cart-wheeled the bike a bunch of times.  The camera popped off (so did he, his fairings, etc.) and still recorded.  Tough little camera, and caught the whole thing perfectly.

I'll try to get it from him and post it up in a link.

Cheers,

Ski
