Would you race in F40 in 2007 if it was changed to allow MW GP, HW Superbike, SuperTwins, and Unl Superbike, but not if the class stays as it is?

I would race F40 if they add the classes
17 (73.9%)
I'll be eligible and would if they added the classes, but I won't race F40 if they don't add the classes
6 (26.1%)

Poll is confusing. I would run my 1000 if they allowed it.
I run yhe class now on a 750 and think they should let the big bikes in so we don't have seven bikes on the grid, can't even get tire money !

My thoughts exactly Ed.
Let'em in.

So now we have what,12 guys in F40 Ex and 10 guys in F40 Am?

The argument against has been that the existing 600 and 750 guys wouldn't run so the grids actually get smaller.

My suggestion was to try it for the 1st couple of events and make a running change if the grids were really diminished as opposed to increased.

Yes I will race even with the 1000s. Can you do F-40 with slicks on your bike?

I'm pretty sure DOT's are required.

F40 Supersport rules. LWF40 Superbike rules. F40 no slicks. LWF40 slicks OK. (Tech for top 3 in F40)

Ducmarc

i remember my first ltwt 40 race at daytona after 2 laps rick croly came by me on the high bank on his 750 plus so fast the paint came off now i run a 748r so it takes 2 more laps . if you make it a liter class you need to put ltwt with another class

F40 should allow slicks just as LWF40. Supersport rules but slick tires allowed! Some of us old guys like slicks and they last a long time.

F40 should allow big twins too. Those GSXR750s really are so much faster than a 748/749 that is simply isn't even close to being a contest.

i think twins are limited to 1000 in hwt 40 but with supersport rules

Oh hell, let's just make it a "run what you brung"  :thumb:

down here in fla we don't have a track with a straightaway so the 600 will still be the bike of choice .i think thats why our 1000 classes seem thinner than up north like VIR a rule change may not change thnigs much here

PaulV

1000CC Ducs and RC51's are allowed in Hwt F40.
+1 on the Run what ya brung Jason..:)

Most of us would be following that 600 of yours anyway..:)

Sweet, I'm preregistering for all of the year... I think a combine should pretty much cover the whole racing surface of BHF.... :)
