If I removed STCS would that violate any tech requirments? In addition, Just out of curiosity, I was thinking about removing the STCS (Secondary Throttle Control System) on my 03 Gsxr 1000.  Has anyone done this before?  If so did you see postive or negative gains.  I know its there to regulate air flow at certain speeds so you gain the maxiumum horsepower out of each gear, but if your wide open a lot, does it really make a difference if you keep them on or take them off?  Any thoughts?

Might be conscrewed as modifying the "carbs" (I know its FI, just using carbs as a generic term) for supersport events

It would be like the 98-99 GSXR which surged and did not like reapllication of the throttle I would think.

SS Legal? Doesn't look like it
