Why?

The 170 on my F2 turns slow enough. Going back to 160's like the bike was designed for (Hopefully Dunlop makes a 160 yet ;D)

170 is optimum racing size and are gettin pretty scarce as the dunlop guys have told me...the 180 fits the 5'' rim but dose not produce optimum footprint while cornering...so i figure use a 5.5''
wheel and run 180's

Doesn't Dunlop offer a tire for the SV? I would think so since it's so popular.

Bridgestone makes 170's in their BT-001.

A 160 would be great.  Would weigh less...  Nice contact patch.  That's what I ran with when I raced F2's all those years ago...

No reason why the new technology tire shouldn't work great too.

For i am just a young grasshopper !!!
thanx guys ...for all the info  ;)

i think ill try the 160's

I think that will work.

Gotta remember to not out tech yourself.  You still gotta ride it, and you still got to get the suspension working.

An F2 is still a really capable bike for local regional races.  Even as an expert.  Yes, it's down ten to fifteen HP from the current stuff.  Yes, it's got weenie calipers, but at a normal race track (not Road America) the new 600's don't go that much faster than what we did ten years ago...

Hope that helps...
