Milwaukee is #2 party town according to Maxim magazine. We'd still be #1 if the CCS Midwest banquet was still held here!
Vegas, baby, was #1
With the Packers, Bucks and Brewers there's lots of sorrow to drown!
Thank god Im back home!!!!!
Ya hey well dere. When you gots dat Road America right dere where dey makes da beer and da brats and da Harleys, you jus' know all da pardy animals will be comin' ta Milwaukee!
Forbes (http://www.forbes.com/2006/08/22/nightlife-cities-drunk_cx_de_nightlife06_0822intro.html?partner=rss) already said we're #1.
I'm so proud of us, really it brings a tear that Maxim, that pinnacle of style and culture, would rank lowly brew town just behind Sin City.
LOL, I just laugh that Milwaukee is labeled a "Party Town". :lmao:
Ok, drinking town, yeah, hands down. I can see three taverns from the front window of the shop. You go around any corner and you can see at least three more.
Don't get me wrong, I'm damn proud to live here, we have really excellent restaurants, a few decent clubs, theatre, ballet, opera, symphony, festivals, shopping and damn it, a really great lakefront! We have the Calatrava, museums, good hospitals, a winding park system that provides rare green space in any city. We have 4 distinct seasons and freindly people. You can go on tours of the breweries or go gamble at Potowatmi. There's sports, if that's your thing.
But party town? No. Fun town, stuff to do town, but not party town.
C'mon Alexa....what's your definition of party?
I always thought of madison and my town (lacrosse) to be pretty big party towns. Congrats to milwauke anyway, its still on wi. :thumb:

Watching Speed while reading Scientific American or Wired.
Even though I don't live in Milwaukee any longer, I always think of it as home! And you can tell the real Milwaukeens from the way we pronounce Milwaukee!
Proper: muh-walkie
You must be a true muh walkie en.
Born and raised.
It was that big bribe... er... stipend... er... ad placement fee that the Milwaukee Visitors & Convention Bureau threw at Maxum.
