You can't go fast if your suspension don't work right.  Start there first.

Quote1996 Honda F3  modification ideas wanted.

I know many of you have raced the F3 andmust have a ton of ideas for it.

Basically the same as the F2 question but does anyone have any help for the F3.  Gearing, suspension, tricks etc.  Thanks in advance.

I've been racing a F3 for 4 years at BHF, and have found that suspension work is the first thing to do. I have Traxxion forks and Fox shock w/ride height adjustment.  You have to play with the fork hieght in the triple clamps unitl it feels right.  Tire choice is another area, different suspension settings work better with different tires. I know, not much help. As far  as engine mods, all I'vbe done is jet kit and pipe.  Gearing, I run 1 shorter than stock in the front and 2 up in the rear, seems to work good for most midwest tracks (not Road America).  This bike did help me win a championship for the midwest in 2000, so it does work.

Excellent, thanks for the info.  I have talked with brian baker about a fork and shock work over.  It currently has a ohlins in the back and race tech in the front.  Im just trying to get some ideas on what to do this winter before next season starts.

Thanks again.

Buy my f3.  It's setup and faster than any other f3.  Top 5 expert finisher.  Easy to do 15's on at Blackhawk.
