Title: A St. Louis thank you...
Post by: skiandclimb on June 13, 2010, 09:46:39 PM
From all of us local, STL folks, I wanted to say thank you to all those who trekked down to our fair city and raced with us at GIR.  It was great, meeting so many out-of-towners. I had a blast at the meet and greet on Saturday night (Thanks Burt, for the plum brandy! )  I also wanted to thank MCRA staff for putting on a fantastic weekend!

We will have a large group going up to Road America in July- can't wait to see you all again!

Crap, I hit submit too soon! I also wanted to thank a few peeps:

To my teammate, Jimmy Anderson- congrats on your podium!!!!!
To my sponsor, Cycle House Performance, Tim and Jerry, thanks for going above and beyond in supporting us! :kissy:
To Rodney LeQuia, thank you for the excellent tire service, and the AWESOME pulled pork at the meet and greet! :thumb:
To the MCRA corner workers: you guys and gals ROCK.  Simply the best in the biz!

To Ducati North America: you can kiss my @#$%^ for putting such a sheisty charging system on an otherwise amazing bike!  :finger:

Nuff said.

Thanks for Pursuit Racing for the party!  It was great to meet Grace and Toni.  Food was great, the beer was cold, and the Bosnian Nijna Juice (Slibovitz) was terrific too (Rick, when does the feeling return to my tastebuds?  Is that a temorary side effect?).

Thanks Chris. I had an enjoyable time at the this Weekend too. Note to self 9lbs of Pork isn't enough for a bunch of hungry racers. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Doubtful... I was a full second off last year, I was hoping to find a 1/2 second this weekend. Oh well, thanks to Ed's misfortunes I was the first loser 4 times!  :kicknuts:

At least you weren't five seconds off!  I never can put it together at that place.
I owe a big thanks to everyone who let me beg, borrow and steal parts to put the bike back together.  And the free beer on Sat was awesome.

This sounds like Farrell crashing at RA and not finishing the race but AMA still had him tear down his motor.

Becca is getting a bunch of chickens, I'm gonna try and get that monkey....we were telling Tommy the dunlop guy, and he walked off muttering about choking chickens and spanking monkeys, LOL!

Shoe theft is a crime DanO....It is good you and Ptaki got your stories straight....makes it harder for the coppers to make the charges stick

My bikes displacement kept changing all day
