I spoke with Greg this morning and it turns out that his crash was a little worse than he thought. Our resident pretty boy needed over 30 stitches in his face. (Scars are sexy, ya know!) He also broke his nose, along with other assorted bumps bruises and whatnot. They kept him overnight at Froedert, but he's going home today. He's in good spirits already talking about racing at Road America.
Heal up fast Greg!
Thanks for posting up. I was aware of the nature of the injuries, which were serious enough, but I'm relieved to hear there was nothing more.
Greg, tell the doc to give you the good stuff! We wish you a quick recovery!
He text us this morning stating he also fractured his L-1 L-4 vertebra, and had minor internal bleeding (although ANY internal bleeding is bad in my book)
I was looking forward to helping him out at Summit in a few weeks.
Heal up fast and strong Greg. Buell Alley ain't the same without you!
OUCH!
Ok, here we go again...
BONE HEALER LINK!!! (http://www.seacoastvitamins.com/product_info.php?products_id=803) Works well, it isn't expensive at all. Heal up, go back to work, and come back to play.
Greg, get better. I'll bring the battery charger! :spank:
Damn, one of the corner workers told me about this crash today...heal up man. A walk around the pits at BHF seemed to indicate it was a hard weekend for a lot of us. I hit a wall in the bus stop and broke my collar bone in 2 spots in my VERY FIRST RACE EVER. (am GTO) Seemed like a very high % of the people i knew there went down as well.

But those pills are stinky. Oh yes...they are.
I just spoke with Greg and he's in good spirits resting at home.
He said the bike looked pretty good, no major damage anyway, and hopes to be back on track in 6-8 weeks.
Heal fast Greg!
You can always set on the roof of the r/v with Fiery and watch em race!:)

Get Well!!....
yep.T-1.
Well You guys are too kind. I appreciate all the get well wishes. I want to thank everyone who helped out, from the cornerworkers, track EMTs, and of course everyone out in Buell Alley. I really appreciate everyone helping us load up.
I had a pretty scary nite after getting to the hospital. It definitely was weird seeing the look on the Resident Trauma Dr.'s face when I told him I Walked into the emergency room with 4 cracked vertebrae a fractured nose, badly bruised ribs and a cut under my eye 2-3 inches long. We found most of that out after the CT scan. The internal bleeding was the big unknown. That is what caused the Dr to request that I be transferred to another hospital with a Top Notch Trauma team...Froedert Mem. Hosp.
Luckily they had a Facial surgeon on staff and he took care of the stitches real nice... Chicks Dig Scars! Right?!? I'm on The Good Stuff, which I'm trying to use sparingly. I even get to eat normal food. The bleeding is stabilized and I don't need surgery for the fractured nose or vertebrae.
Look for me at Road America in July... I may try for the ASRA Nat'l at VIR if things progress well enough.
Thanks again to everyone.
Greg

It was fun seeing you and getting a chance to run a little bit before the accident. I was behind you and saw things unfold. It was pretty scary and didn't look good. I was relieved to hear that you will be okay and look forward to seeing you out there again soon. Heal up quick!!!!
