SS= stock air box. Period. Some bikes are allowed aftermarket filters. Read the rulebook (http://www.ccsracing.us/forms/2006/2006%20Rulebook.pdf) for exact info.
6.1.2.D. "Original equipment air box must remain as produced. Air filters must be used but
may be Aftermarket units. Aftermarket air filters are restricted to units available
via normal commercial channels and designed for that specific model machine.
Aftermarket air filter units that replace part of the OEM. airbox are required to
maintain the original size and number of air inlet openings as the stock unit."
Velocity stacks are fine as long as you do not have to modify the airbox, remove/modify air filter(s), or modify the throttle body/carb intake diameter.

Airbox does not a velocity stack make :)
For it to be illegal it would have to be "everything inside the airbox"... at least that's my interpretation.
