Scott from MOTO-D Racing visited Buttonwillow Raceway Park, a 2.68 mile road course featuring 19 turns, elevation changes, and a 3,800 straight away located in Kern County California.

Hosted by Pacific Track Time, a premier trackday provider on the West Coast it was an awesome weekend. New to us we enjoyed the tracks smooth surface and riders familar with the track said it was a major improvement over the old surface which had gotten a nickname "Bumpywillow". Bumps be gone and the track had a friendly flow that featured several fast sweepers (turns 8-9, 13, and 15) and some tight technical spots (turns 2 and 4). We especially enjoyed the corner known as "Lost Hill" which was a cresting blind turn (14) that required turn in before seeing the apex and exit. The weather was picture perfect despite being in the mid-90's and our Xtreme Motorcycle Rental (www.xtrememotorcyclerental.com) Suzuki GSXR-600 was fitted with brand new Pirelli Supercorsa's that offered loads of grip.

Also on hand was Meen Motorsports (www.meenmotorsports.com) Jake Lewis who had a great year competing in AMA Daytona Sportbike. MOTO-D would like to thank everyone who was there for their support especially the coaching staff of PTT which did a great job making it an inviting atmosphere for all riders. Pacific Track Time is comprised of highly trained and dedicated motorcycle enthusiasts, with a committed objective in providing a safe, fun, structured and controlled environment to enhance rider's skills. Formed in 2002, Pacific Track Time (www.pacifictracktime.com) has one of the best and highly coveted safety records within the motorcycle track day industry.
