Aaron Stevenson¹s  Cornerspeed Riderschools announces the opening of their new school, Cornerspin.
Cornerspin, "dirt training for road riding and road racing", is a permanent facility located near the town of Spencer, North Carolina on 40 acres adjacent to Interstate 85. The Cornerspin training facility is located halfway between the metropolitan areas of Atlanta and Washington D.C.. Stevenson, owner and CEO of Cornerspeed and Cornerspin, has been developing the land for over a year to create challenging lay-outs for riders of all abilities. Training for the past two years with former pro flat tracker Michael Dillon (National #20) and former Arclight rider Scott Harwell, Stevenson has developed a curriculum that is designed to specifically relate the dirt techniques to  the road and road racing. Says Stevenson, ³This is not a flat track school. This is a road race school that is taught in the dirt using flat track and motard techniques to give students a better understanding of bike control and how to apply it to the road.²

The Cornerspin school has 6 fully prepared mini-bikes (DRZ125, TTR125 and CRF100¹s) which are provided with instruction. Like the mini-bike training done by riders back to the day of Kenny Roberts Sr. to current riders such as Nicky Hayden, Cornerspin is ³cross training for road racers and road riders² using flat track and motard techniques on a variety of tracks to improve bike control and rider skill. The facility is set up to simulate many road and track conditions with over 8 configurations that include elavation changes, camber changes, fast transitions, esses, hairpins, sweepers and more. 14 time national champion and former Arclight rider Scott Harwell is lead instructor. Aaron Stevenson will be the instructor for lectures as well as on bike demonstration. Pro flat track guest instructors will be announced per individual schools. The small class size of only 6-8 students will allow for ample one on one instruction and feedback during the two-day school.
