Ducati 998R

I posted this in the general forum but it is probably more appropriate here. Sorry about the duplication.

I own a Ducati 998R and am interested in racing it in CCS. I'm looking at Heavyweight SuperSport or maybe Formula 40.

I see the rules state that the bikes must either be production machines sold by manufacturers and their dealers for street use in North America or on a list of non-standard approved models that are not sold for street use in North America.  

Is the 998R on that list? or does it just count as a 998? or can I not run it?

John, your best bet is to look into Super Twins where the 998R is most competitive, as for HVY SS I dont recall if the 998R is restricted, if not it really does not matter because a well prepped GSXR750 will usually run circles around the Ducatis....sad but true

I am glad you said usually.  Check the results from gingerman(midwest region) at the september round for Unlimited Gp.  Short tracks need riders, not power!!! 998R's are not legal in supersport, but whose gonna know, or care.  It is true that a 750 can really whoop on them most of the time!  But an R, that may be a different story.
