The Midwest Cafe Racing Association is in the need of start flags and some flags for corner stations. I have found 3 sites on the web:

We make them. A few old broom handles and a trip to the fabric store about 2 minutes on the sewing machine new flags. Now checkered is sometimes hard to find and the debris ambulance and meatball all have more time adding the strips, but fairly easy and about a 1/5 the price of "real" flags.
