I am a total idiot

I'm a total idiot.

Now that that's out of the way here's what I've done to my bike- please help me out if you can.

I was changing the front brake pads on my bike and first removed all four front pads. I then replaced the left side pads properly and thought I should test the brake to make sure it works. So I spun the wheel hard and then pulled the brake lever hard to make sure the new pads grabbed. Well, since I had removed the right side pads earlier but hadn't replaced them the calipers had nothing to push against and one of the calipers actually fell out of the brake assembly- along with the majority of the brake fluid.

After putting the caliper back in and replacing the right side brake pads correctly I discovered I lost so much fluid in being a moron that I now have NO braking.

I've never done any work on the brake lines/fluid on my own so I don't know how to remedy this problem. Any assistance would be great.

JUst relax, take a breath, bleed the brakes.keep the master cylinder full of fluid.you may be air bound at the top.If your M/C had a bleed screw at the top Brembo right?Put a piece of clear tubing over the nipple and bleed the air out.you then will be able to bleed the bottom.Besides, you now have all winter to do it,and you learned a valuable lesson.your brakes are your best friend.especially at that place.

a mityvac can help a lot with this.  i'm not sure about the duc setup, but on my fzr with vortex clip-ons, i had to take the master off, so it could sit level instead of at the end angle dictated by the clip-ons because it'd start sucking air down (since fluid wouldn't completely cover the hole.

hope it helps.  btw, your pads may drag a bit anyway.
They see me rollin', chicanin'
