can i buy a "one-off" weekend CCS race license?
« on: August 19, 2010, 08:16:32 PM »
Sir or Ma'am,

Those "other guys" offer a good for one-weekend license for 30 dollars.

I would really like to attend September's VIR round (and it will likely be my ONLY round for the rest of the season).  I was wondering if CCS has a similar offer?

Thank you very much,

Yes, the other guys copied a CCS program that has been in place for many years. When you get to track ask for a one event license, and be sure to bring your current race license with you.

But by that point in year since CCS license is prorated a license for remainder of year may be better deal.

Eric,

If I had a current license, why would I be asking about a one-off license?

All I have is last years (2009) CCS license.  Is that enough proof that I'm legit for a 2010 one-off?

Sorry, I just want to make sure that it's ok before driving all the way to Virginia!

Thanks,

Justin,

If you had a valid license with CCS in 2009 bring that with you.  Worst case scenario is you buy a prorated license for the rest of 2010.   If I remember correctly there is a big price cut for the license for the last 4 months of the year as of Sept 1.

Can't answer on if they will sell you a 1 weekend license if you don't have a 2010 license with WERA or CMRA, etc
