Yup. That's what Eric clarified (was my question, too) Apparently one # on the tail, which can be read from standing behind the bike, is sufficient now. No longer do we have to put #'s on the side fairings when running a single plate on the top of the rear.

if my bike is already yellow do i need to outline the number plates?

I have run a white (expert) bike with no outlines around the number plates. Had no problems with tech.
