SV 650 question

I was told this past weekend that the 1999 SV650 was legal for lightweight sportsman, but the 00 - 02 was not.  Can anyone clarify that for me?

Nope, that's wrong.  All years of the SV650 are only legal for Heavyweight Sportsman.
