Buell 1125r Classes?

From what I can tell the 1125r is eligible to for SuperTwins and all heavy weight classes.  Are there any other classes?

Yeah, agreed, 1000cc's for a twin, even though the 1125 makes 600/4 HP.

Buell only pays money in certain classes, for the 1125r it supertwins and unlimited superbike down by me so you might want to look into that. buell contingency money is nice so be sure to get that, its makes racing alot more affordable.-andrew

Buell pays in Supertwins AM/EX and Heavyweight Superbike EX only for the 1125R. They also pay for Thunderbike AM/EX if you are running an XB bike. I just talked to Henry Duga on friday, and he was in the middle of finalizing contingency for this year. There should be an announcement soon, but it seems pretty much the same as last year.

that would save buell a lot of money. that bikes isnt even close power whise to an I4 1000

i think that on a shorter track it'll do ok, i've got 1098's that run right with the liter bike down here. it stands to reason that the buell should be able to do the same.

I have to agree.  There is a reason why the 1125 is in more of a 600 class in the new AMA Superbike.

Down by me the tracks are pretty short,there's not really much difference between 600 laptimes and those of a 1000. in our unlimited superbike class we have 600's, 1000's and a 1098r and there all pretty closely matched. so maybe on a bigger longer more open track the 1000 would eat up a 1125r but hereour longest track is about 1.6 miles long.

i don't know if buell is going to change this for sure or in what regions, this maybe only for ccs/sw our classes are a little different .  if the bike was only capable of running with 600's why wouldn't ccs make it a middleweight bike? don't get me wrong, i'd love to see it in the middlewieght classes then hopefully i'd be able to get my xb back into lightweight.

So, what are your rules there that your XB isn't a lightweight?  Or what have you done that doesn't make it a lightweight?

Its what i've done to ther bike thats eliminated me from lightweight. its got an 88 in motor now so its fits in middleweight and up classes.  i only run sportsman classes rightnow with it cause they're the only ones buell pays in,also i wouldn't be in the running in the middleweight classes.

No Buell contingency for Unlimited in CCS, just Heavyweight. That is, unless something's changed since friday.
