'06 GSXR 750 GP Shifting
« on: July 04, 2008, 10:54:00 AM »
I've heard that with the 06-07 gsxr 600's and 750's that there is a way to set it up for GP style shifting.  But when i attempted to switch the clamp over to the other side the case cover got in the way of the shift rod.  If anyone know how to make a switch to it without buying a whole new rear set please let me know.

You just have to flip the knuckle over like you tried.  With the stock rearsets on the bike, you will need to move shifter one position towards the rear of the bike in the adjustment when it mounts to the frame.  I did this with my '08 before I race prepped it, so it'll work.

Hey Cameron,
Did you get this to work on yours?

The stock rearsets and shifter have three mounting positions from the factory.  In the rearmost and uppermost position, the lever can be flipped for GP shift.  In the other two positions it will not work.

The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"
